Larson Computer Services (LCS) has been in business since 1989, and was started by Les Larson while living in Mobile, Alabama. By that time, Les already had over 10 years professional experience designing, installing and servicing all manner of electronic equipment, ranging from amateur radio transmitters, collision-avoidance systems onboard ocean-going merchant ships, and the earliest of “personal computers”. (As a hobby, Les designed and manufactured a memory expansion product for an 80s-era business computer. The product Les designed was superior to the manufacturer’s version, sold throughout the country, and never experienced a single failure.)
In 1996, Les moved the business to Phoenix, Arizona to focus on servicing that area’s large commercial business base. Over the next 9 years Larson Computer Services earned a reputation as a no-nonsense, highly-skilled service provider. The high crime-rate, tangled traffic, etc of the Phoenix area finally “wore out its welcome”, so to speak, and Les began searching for a small city to move his business and family to. A customer recommended Minot, North Dakota (a place Les had never heard of).
In 2005 Larson Computer Services moved to Minot, North Dakota, where it continues today. Les and his family love the small-town feel and friendly people, and see the area as full of opportunity. With the broad range and depth of experience gained from 35 years in the technical field, Larson Computer Services provides an unparalleled level of customer service to the northwest North Dakota region.
