As a LCS-Remote client, every covered computer also has our Fortress unlimited online backup software installed, so you are always protected. We created LCS-Remote to reduce expenses for everyone involved and keep your system running smoothly over the long haul. If you are a LCS-Remote client and have a situation that requires a tech on-site, we'll assist in finding a tech in your area that can help you, and we'll work with them to get your issue resolved in the quickest way possible. (You will be responsible for charges rendered by the third-party technician)
We will help you maintain whatever antivirus product you may already have, or help you install one of your choosing at your expense, but we do not provide an antivirus/antimalware product as part of our LCS-Remote service, for the following reason: No single antivirus/antimalware/security/whatever product on the market can protect you from the weakest link in the security chain, which is "people". We have seen very elaborate (and expensive) security products, software and procedures get ruined by a single employee who opened a suspicious email, clicked on a fake website link, or just browsed the Web where they shouldn't have. Larson Computer Services assumes no responsibility whatsoever for your network security beyond maintaining your existing antivirus definitions, etc. The best thing you can do for your business data is to ensure you can get a clean copy of it back after a mishap by using a solid online backup system, and that's what we provide with our Fortress online backup service, included with LCS-Remote.
Our LCS-Remote service is offered on a pre-paid month-to-month basis and there are no contracts. If you wish to cancel your subscription, simply give us a call and we will cancel it immediately. We will also refund the unused portion of that month's service.
Absolutely! We'd love to have you as a Fortress-only client, at the normal Fortress price of $13.95/month for each computer. The best thing you can do to protect your data is to have a reliable, automatic and secure way to back it up offline every day, and Fortress is an excellent choice.
